Cosmology with a dynamically screened scalar interaction in the dark sector

چکیده
Motivated in part by string theory, we consider a modification of the ΛCDM cosmological model in which the dark matter has a long-range scalar force screened by light particles. Scalar forces can have interesting effects on structure formation: the main example presented here is the expulsion of dark matter halos from low density regions, or voids, in the galaxy distribution.

Interacting Dark Energy in Hořava-Lifshitz Cosmology
Motivated by the recent work of Saridakis [1], we generalize this work to the noninteracting case. Using an additional canonical scalar field, we formulate HořavaLifshitz cosmology with an effective interacting dark energy sector. ∗E-mail: [email protected]
متن کاملInteracting Dark Matter and Dark Energy
We discuss models for the cosmological dark sector in which the energy density of a scalar field approximates Einstein’s cosmological constant and the scalar field value determines the dark matter particle mass by a Yukawa coupling. A model with one dark matter family can be adjusted so the observational constraints on the cosmological parameters are close to but different from what is predicte...
متن کاملHǒrava-Lifshitz Dark Energy
We formulate Hořava-Lifshitz cosmology with an additional scalar field that leads to an effective dark energy sector. We find that, due to the inherited features from the gravitational background, Hořava-Lifshitz dark energy naturally presents very interesting behaviors, possessing a varying equation-of-state parameter, exhibiting phantom behavior and allowing for a realization of the phantom d...
متن کاملVarying Gravitational Constant as Well as Cosmology from the Early Inflation to Late Acceleration and Future Universe
Here, cosmology is obtained from the variable gravitational constant G ∝ φ with φ(x) being a scalar and its fluctuations around the ground state. The gravitational action contains Einstein-Hilbert like term with variable G, kinetic energy and self-interaction potential for φ(x). Two phase transitions take place in this model. The first one takes place at the GUT (grand unified theory) scale ∼ 2...
